0 14 August 2014

Alisher Usmanov has reduced his stake in holding company USM from 60% to 48%. He remains USM Holdings’ largest shareholder.

According to the company, the 10% of Usmanov’s shares were bought back by USM Holdings Ltd due to favourable market dynamics. They will now be shared between its senior executives such as CEOs Ivan Streshinsky and Ivan Tavrin.

Furthermore, two of Mr Ushmanov’s business partners, who have not been named, will each receive a 1% share in USM Holdings. The stakes of Vladimir Skoch and Farhad Moshiri, 30% and 10% respectively, remain unchanged.

USM Holdings was founded in 2012 to consolidate Alisher Usmanovs’ investments. In its portfolio are MegaFon, Group, Mediaholding UTH Russia and others.
