0 28 August 2014

Serge Faguet, CEO of Ostrovok, has announced the signing of a partnership with American accommodation booking service AirBnB via his Facebook page.

It is Ostrovok’s first involvement with an American company. AirBnB’s representatives see potential in the Russian market and in particular in Ostrovok. For Ostrovok this will mean a huge growth in their accommodation base, with up to a million new places.

The financial terms of the deal are yet to be disclosed.

Serge Faguet:

“Today we have announced the partnership between Ostrovok and AirBnB. We now have a greater range of places to stay than any other service in the world. For example, in Moscow for 29-31st August we have 1319 places available…and in St Petersburg 1270. We are gradually rolling out our service across the world.”
