Get Taxi receives $150 million investment

Israeli entrepreneur Shakhar Vaiser’s taxi ordering service Get Taxi has finished its latest round of investment with $150 million of funding.

Total investment in the company now amounts to £210 million. Direct investment fund Vostok Nafta took part in the round, along with Access Industries and Inventure Partners.

According to Vostok Nafta Get Taxi, which operates in Moscow, Tel Aviv, London and New York, is likely to grow by 400% and reach profits of $150 million this year.

Get Taxi was founded in 2010, more or less simultaneously with Yandex Taxi. The company works in partnership with taxi firms taking 15% commission for its services.
