iBuildApp raises another $200k

0 4 June 2014

Mobile app builder iBuildApp has raised $200,000 from Starta Capital and Nikolay Belikh.

iBuildApp is an international project that enables clients to build and manage mobile apps. As well as being a resident of Moscow’s Skolkovo IT-Park, the project also has a headquarters in Foster City, California.

This investment brings the total invested in the project to $1.9 million. Earlier this year a group of private investors injected $525,000 into the startup.

The startup has clients all over the world, and by March this year these had created more than 660,000 apps using iBuildApp’s platform. In Russia the project’s most famous client is Sberbank, which has created more than 50 apps via iBuildApp. According to its CrunchBase profile, its platform is also used by a number of Fortune 2000 companies in the US.

Mikhail Gurevich, head of the investment company 101Startup is glad to see investors continuing to put their faith in iBuildApp.

“This is a challenging sector and many projects fail to live with the competition. Clients and consumers are becoming ever more demanding, and AppStore and GooglePlay are continually making their cooperation rules more complicated. iBuildApp managed to establish a relatively stable position in this niche some time ago, and its good to see investors continuing to support it.”

Starta Capital’s funding comes from its “Accessor Fund I”, a $3 million fund founded in April this year. The fund will be used to support 5-6 projects per year. Starta Capital first invested in iBuildApp in 2011.
