Another exit for TA Venture as Facebook buys Little Eye Labs

0 10 January 2014

Facebook has acquired TA Venture portfolio company Little Eye Labs, giving the Kiev-based fund its second exit in as many months.

TA Venture’s investment in Little Eye Labs, a Bangalore-based performance management and analytics platform for mobile app developers, was made through Indian angel investment network GSF Superangels and announced in August this year. The total amount was not disclosed.

According to Facebook’s Subu Subramanian Little Eye Labs’ technology will be used to “help us to continue improving our Android codebase to make more efficient, higher-performing apps”. While Facebook chose not to make public exactly how much they had paid, Bangalore tech consultant Parvenu Bhadada estimates the deal to be worth “not more than $15 million”.

In December TA Venture exited innovative American travel startup WeHostels, which was acquired by StudentUniverse. The fund, which is registered in Luxembourg, is worth $50 million. It is particularly focused on Russian, Ukrainian and CIS-based web companies, but its diverse portfolio also includes US, Western European and Indian startups.
