TechCrunch Moscow winner attracts US investor

0 14 April 2014

Dreamroomer, which won the Startup Battle at TechCrunch Moscow in December 2013, has raised investment from San Francisco fund 415x Inc.

The project has created a service that aims to turn the property rental market on its head by helping landlords to find tenants, instead of vice versa. Property owners add their apartment to DreamRoomer’s database, along with an invitation to prospective clients to come and check it out.

According to co-founder Nikolay Pere, the deal was a direct consequence of their victory at TechCrunch.

“We got to know the investor when we won TechCrunch Moscow. Even before the results were announced he approached us and suggested that we stay in touch. After discussions lasting several months we eventually came to an agreement.

Since winning TechCrunch we have created a much-improved version of our project with a full redesign and new functions. It will be launched in May at TechCrunch Disrupt in New York.”

The investment was announced on Dreamroomer's Facebook page, but the sum involved was not disclosed.
